LUCK'S ON EVERYONE'S SIDE, JUST NOT EVERYONE'S RADAR!
Have you ever felt like the universe is playing a cruel joke on you? As if you've drawn the short end of the stick while others seemingly stumble upon success? Consider the story of a bread seller who transformed her life overnight. It's tempting to think, "She was just lucky, and I'm perpetually out of favour." But I challenge that notion. What if we all possess a touch of serendipity, but it's our readiness and perception that truly matter?
Pause and ponder your very existence. Among millions, it was
you who emerged triumphant. Now, would you regard that as a mere stroke
of luck? Throughout life, we navigate countless hurdles. Yet, sometimes, we get
caught in the trap of thinking, "But my circumstances are unique."
Remember, everyone has their battles. A Yoruba adage translates as, 'A person
with a head lacks a cap, while the one with a cap lacks a head.' Essentially,
life's challenges vary for each of us.
I've known individuals with immense wealth, but burdened with
insurmountable health challenges. Consider my friend, who despite being from an
affluent background and a prodigious intellect, couldn't battle the effects of
sickle cell anemia. His short life, however, left a lasting legacy. Similarly,
icons like Stevie Wonder, Ray Charles, and Asuquo Cobhams, despite physical
challenges, have etched their names in history. If you ever feel down on your
luck, remember: it's all about perspective.
Think about Olajumoke, who found her breakthrough while
selling bread on the streets. Instead of succumbing to despair, she was
actively shaping her destiny. When opportunity knocks, ensure it finds you in
action.
NAVIGATING THE PATHS OF FATE AND TIMING
The secret, perhaps, is nurturing a resilient spirit. If
adversity defines your early years, draw inspiration from legends like Oprah
Winfrey, who rose from obscurity to become a beacon of success. Your story
isn't unique, but how you navigate it can be. Many have weathered similar
storms and emerged stronger. Unearth your potential and refuse to be buried by
your circumstances.
Reflecting on wisdom from Ecclesiastes 9:11 NLT, it's
evident that success isn't always about sheer strength or talent. It's about
the confluence of timing and preparedness. "The fastest runner doesn't
always win the race… It is all decided by chance, by being in the right place
at the right time."
Your moment of destiny is lurking around the corner. Commit
to excellence, even when no one's watching. And when that fated chance appears?
Grasp it with both hands.
